The Traveler Assistance Net is a new idea that has made its way to St. Charles Co. to give St. Charles Co. ARES (ECA) members something to do to keep active during the winter months. It is a monitored net that is a possible way to request assistance if HAM motorists are in an accident or need other information during a winter storm and don’t have cell phone service. St. Charles is not the only location in the country to start this, but it is local and gaining traction. St. Louis County ARES is also looking into starting the program
