We are holding the planning meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wed June 3.
This meeting is to just walk through the Field Day event, related times, etc. In the past these have been up to 90 minutes, but I'm hoping it will go much shorter, because we're basically doing the same as last year. We will review photos from the google drive, the antenna placements (approximate), site layout, what will go where
Friday 6/26 7:00 p.m. - Meet at storage unit to pick up radios, etc. - Need people who can bring some of the supplies, they won't all fit in my truck. Having at least 3 people to help move things will make this go very quickly and smoothly. If you are bringing supplies, please be at Tilles park about 9:00 a.m.
Saturday 6/27 9:00 a.m. - Meet at Tilles Park Windegger Shelter. We will set up radios and antennas, power, tarps, etc.
Saturday 6/27 1:00 p.m. - Start operating and enable Foxes for Fox Hunt
Saturday 6/27 2:00 p.m. - Training - TBD - would welcome topics. There's a CW training available in June at https://longislandcwclub.org/, but we can't easily do zoom at field day, and that may not be offered then. I'm thinking about demonstrating how to make a dipole.
Saturday 6/27 4:00 p.m. - Start cooking burgers / brats / hot dogs
Saturday 6/27 5:00 p.m. - Club Meeting
Saturday 6/27 5:05 p.m. - Dinner
Sunday 6/28 1:00 p.m. - Start teardown
Sunday 6/28 3:00 p.m. - when done take supplies back to storage unit
Sunday 6/28 4:00 p.m. - Head home from Storage Unit
Things we need to do:
Pull out my christmas lights (I have a bunch of strands we hang in the rafters) and/or other flood lights (if you have any, that would be appreciated to illuminate the operation area better) as the shelter has no lights

Verify radios integrate correctly with DigiRig devices.

Send details of how to get there, the schedule via email, Facebook, STL Hams. Target to publish this is 6/8.
Have someone with the club credit card purchase the food order, same as last year. Hamburgers, Brats, Hot Dogs, Buns, water bottles, ice. What coolers would we have available? We should have plates and napkins, everything else needed to cook, although we should confirm what is in the storage unit. We probably need some aluminum pans for the burgers and brats to be served in and used to keep warm at the grill.
Determine who can be there overnight to keep an eye on the equipment, and operate.
