Description
Your donation to the St. Louis & Suburban Radio Club helps fund programs like our “Learn to Solder” class and radio classes we teach throughout the year to license new Tech’s and encourage upgrades. We also advocate for getting youth on the air and work with STEM teachers around the STL Metro area to help promote Amateur Radio.
The SLSRC is an American Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated club and we have a very active organization in the St. Louis area. Our activities include club meetings with interesting presentations which are view-able via YouTube, social gatherings, community service events and educational classes. The club hosts Winterfest in January, the Midwest’s largest hamfest, and Field Day in June, which provides opportunities for hams to get on the air. These are just some of the activities in which members participate and we want you to be a part of it!
Normally on the first Friday of each month we hold an informal meeting covering Back to Basics or Mentoring Workshops. These offer the new and experienced hams a chance to learn new skills and share knowledge. Please check our calendar at www.slsrc.org/calendar for dates and time.
The SLSRC operates 7 repeaters in the St. Louis metro area. The 146.85 repeater has both AllStar (node 40105) and Echolink (node 396891) capabilities and the club hosts the STL-METRO WiresX room on the 443.075 repeater with many repeaters in the area connected. We are currently working on STL-METRO room access via hot spot. The complete list of repeaters can be found at https://slsrc.org/
Our general club meeting is held on the 4th Friday of every month at the Goldfarb School of Nursing, rooms 419-420, within Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Meetings start at 19:00. We hold a weekly net every Tuesday at 19:30 on the 146.850 repeater (CTCSS 141.3). The SLSRC meets the second Saturday of each month for breakfast at 07:00 at the Denny’s on Midland. On the third Saturday of each month we meet for breakfast at the Denny’s on Watson Road in Sunset Hills at 08:30. Visit our website at https://slsrc.org for details and other activities related to the Club.
