SLSRC – ARRL Field Day held at Tilles Park

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s ARRL Field Day held at Tilles Park, was a resounding success! Over the weekend, amateur radio operators from our community came together to demonstrate their skills, foster camaraderie, and promote the importance of emergency communication.

Participants set up and operated on various modes and bands, showcasing different modes of operation, including voice, digital, and Morse code. The event attracted both seasoned hams and newcomers, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and sharing knowledge about amateur radio.

Highlights of the event included:
Our club made hundreds of contacts across the country, demonstrating the effectiveness of amateur radio in emergency situations.
Attendees participated in activities including setting up emergency HF stations, antenna setup, emergency preparedness, and digital modes.
The new location increased the number of local residents stopping by to learn more about amateur radio, with many expressing interest.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, participants, and visitors who made this event possible. Your enthusiasm and dedication to the amateur radio community are what make events like this so special.

Stay tuned for more updates and future events. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for another exciting ARRL Field Day!
