April 28, 2017 General Meeting Program, Speaker-Norm Guittar on the History of Electric Cars, Past, Present, and Future

The April SLSRC program takes a short “detour” from ham radio, as Norm Guittar (husband of Dolores Guittar, KDØCIV) will present “An In-Depth Look at Electric Cars, Past, Present, and Future.”

Norm will start at the beginning of the development of the electric car, which started around the same time that Hiram Percy Maxim

founded the American Radio Relay League (1914). Maybe Hiram was involved with developing the electric car…Norm knows the answer and will tell us.

The meeting is April 28 at 7:00 PM in rooms 419-420 of the Goldfarb School of Nursing in the Clinical Learning Institute at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

Norm will have a drawing for a free rechargeable Power Pack with USB ports to charge or power all your electronic thingies like cell phones etc. It will power or recharge anything that uses a USB Port.  It also has a very usable light built in, and can be charged from a number of sources including a cigarette lighter plug.

Hope to see everyone there!
