Nominations for SLSRC Board Election on Fri Nov 20 are being accepted for President, Secretary, and Board Member – Odd Year positions. Each of these positions is for a 2-year term beginning on Jan 1, 2027.
You may self-nominate by contacting any current Board member or by sending an email to INFO@slsrc.org. You may also nominate another person IF you obtain their agreement and acceptance to do this. Self-nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Nov general meeting on Nov 20.
We have a pending nomination for the Board Member – Odd Year position but will accept additional nominations.
We have enjoyed the contributions of our current Board Members but need new faces and more ideas!
Basic responsibilities for each position are:
PRESIDENT – Conduct monthly and any special Club and Board meetings, guide general Club operations, and represent Club and Board as the primary leadership contact for all Club responsibilities and activities.
SECRETARY – Attend and record notes of each Club and Board meeting, and perform all necessary Club and Board communications to support such activities. This position is an active voting Board member and is needed for quorum at all Board meetings.
BOARD MEMBER – Odd Year – Attend and provide guidance and input at all Club and Board meetings, and conduct Board member election tasks for the even year Board elections. This position is an active voting Board member and is needed for quorum at all Board meetings.
