SLSRC Field Day 2026 at Tilles Park Details

SLSRC will be participating in Field Day this year at Tilles Park in the Windegger Shelter again from 1:00 p.m. June 27 through 1:00 p.m. June 28th. Join us at 9551 Litzsinger Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124. Bring the whole family and learn what you can use when communications systems fail, or really any time for fun or safety.

Directions: Travel south from I-64 on McKnight Rd, you’ll pass Tilles Park on the right. Take the turn into the gate after you pass by the park. Continue on the entrance road, past the Ranger station, and, once past the Ranger Station parking lot, turn right onto the road. It will curve to the left into a parking lot. The shelter will be to your right – next to the pond.

Technicians – If you’ve never worked HF before, drop by, and we will be happy to put you on the air talking all over the country. Don’t know what to say? No worries, we have a script to guide you.  It’s a couple of sentences back and forth, and then you’ve made an HF contact! You say you don’t have privileges? When operating with a ham that has those privileges, you do! We have multiple people with Amateur Extra class privileges that would be happy for you to operate using our club call sign (WØSRC) and using any portion of their privileges.  Make Eyeball QSOs too.

You want to learn CW/Morse Code. But where do you start? Long Island CW Club is providing FREE 1 hour CW training classes (basic and advanced) from June 1 through June 26. See https://longislandcwclub.org/ for details.
