We will be meeting in person at 7:00PM July 22, in the Goldfarb School of Nursing. Masks will be required to enter the building, however they are optional in the meeting rooms. Screening in the main hospital may be required, please allow ample time.
The Program will be Jon Slough (KB9ATR) FIRST Inspires. Jon Slough (KB9ATR) has been an amateur radio operator since 1987 and has been active in digital modes and VHF and HF for much of that time. Jon enjoys participating in Field Days and Skywarn Recognition days. He also likes to be involved in orientation & mentoring programs to help new and recently upgraded hams learn new skills.
Jon will be giving information about FIRST Inspires to our club. FIRST is a nonprofit organization that inspires young people to be science and technology leaders. They provide opportunities for students to participate in robotics competitions and give robot kits to teams of students. These teams are called “FLL” (First Lego League) or “FLL Jr.” (First Lego League Jr) teams. FIRST programs serve students in middle school and high school.
